Hawks Track Club is a non-profit organization that was founded by Anthony and Michelle Hawkins on June 12, 2003 in The Colony, Texas.  With the help of nine students from The Colony High School Varsity Track Team, the Hawkins conducted a pilot track program.  The pilot was so successful that it gained interest from junior high school, high school and collegiate coaches, other athletes and parents.  This community-based organization provides an opportunity for competitive track competition while emphasis is placed on setting and reaching personal, academic and career goals.

Hawks Track Club is sanctioned by the USATF (USA Track & Field), the National Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States.  USATF encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of the Olympics, the #1 high school and junior high school participatory sport and more than 50 million adult runners in the United States.  All Hawks Track Club athletes are registered members of the USATF, which is a requirement to compete in the association, regional, and national Junior Olympic program, as well as the USA Youth, USA Junior, and Nike Outdoor National Track & Field Championships.  Hawks Track Club membership is with USATF Region 12, Southwestern Association.
